# Points (/docs/risex/rewards/points)

The RISE points program exists to attract and retain real traders, and to distribute points to the users helping pave the way for RISEx to become a leading exchange.

The program launched with **Season 1: Ignite** on **20 July 2026 at 00:00 UTC**.

Each week, a capped pool of points is split across traders based on their activity on the venue: what you trade, how long you hold, what you pay in fees, your slippage, and who you bring to the venue.

## Season 1: Ignite

Ignite is the first full points seasonlaunches.

* Points begin accruing on **20 July 2026 at 00:00 UTC**.
* Points are distributed weekly, with the first distribution at **14:00 UTC on Tuesday, 28 July 2026**.
* **200k points** are allocated per weekly distribution.

Ignite is expected to end no later than **Q2 2027**, our timelines are aligned with projected major product milestones

## Earning points

Each week, points are allocated based on your share of qualifying activity on RISEx. The points model changes each week. Qualifying activity includes:

* **Higher order activity**: user segmentation
* **Total costs**: fees paid, slippage, and negative markouts
* **Trading volume**: both maker and taker
* **Open interest and position hold time**
* **Referrals**: earn an additional 10% of your referee's points

The exact methodology and weightings are not published. This protects the program from being gamed.

## Genesis Traders

Prior to Ignite, RISEx ran without a public points program. Users who traded during that period are allocated retroactive points based on their real activity: what they traded and how they contributed to the venue.

Distribution details for Season 0 will be announced separately. Distribution occurs on **Thursday, 23 July 2026 at 14:00 UTC**.

## RISE airdrop allocation

100% of RISE points are allocated to RISEx users, including traders, LPs, and builder-code integrators.

Why? RISE is an exchange chain and RISEx is the core product. Other apps built on the chain benefit from RISEx activity because they either:

* 1. Leverage RISEx liquidity and features through builder codes, or
* 2. RISEx is a user of their product, such as lending or AMM backstop liquidity, benefiting from the distribution and activity that trading generates

Early RISE supporters will receive additional benefits within the RISE points program.
